Psychiatric Aide 

Duties and Responsibilities: 6) Organize, supervise, and encourage patient participation in social, educational, and recreational activities. 7) Perform nursing duties such as administeringmedications, measuring vital signs, collecting specimens and drawing blood samples. 8) Serve meals, and feed patients needing assistance or persuasion.

Education:Education. Generally there are no formal education requirements one must fulfill to be a psychiatric aide. In fact, entrance into this field of work requires only a high school diploma or equivalent. Postsecondary courses in psychology and mental health technology may provide an advantage.
